Are you a highly skilled and motivated Contentious Probate Solicitor looking to join a reputable law firm that values client satisfaction and employee well-being? Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team on a diverse caseload of contentious probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, and estate administration issues
  • Assist with contentious court of protection matters, including applications, preparation for hearings and representing the firm at said hearings
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft legal documents, and provide sound advice to clients
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Collaborate with team members and external professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Maintain accurate case files and adhere to internal and external deadlines
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and participate in professional development activities
  • Market and promote the firm's contentious probate services to potential clients, including individuals, families, and charities
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients and referral sources
  • Attend networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings to expand professional connections and raise the firm's profile
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the firm's expertise and track record
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential areas for growth
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials, including brochures, website content, and social media campaigns

The responsibility to market and bring in new work is an additional responsibility to the core duties of a Contentious Probate Partner. It requires a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, as well as strong networking and business development skills. The successful candidate will lead on the growth and success of the firm while delivering exceptional legal services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years of experience in contentious probate
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedural rules
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong client relationship management skills and a dedication to exceeding client expectations
