SignVideo is a Video Relay Service (VRS) and Video Remote Interpreting Service (VRI) which ensures smooth communication between Deaf individuals and companies/ service providers, both over-the-phone and in-person. Interpreters can be contacted via the app or through the SignVideo website, where a directory of companies is available. The app is available on iTunes and Google Play Store. The service is on-demand and open 24/7.

Acting as a “screen reader for Deaf people”, Signly provides BSL video translation of written text on websites which users can access by clicking the two hands in the bottom right of the page and hovering over their desired text.

ReciteMe’s Assistive Toolbar makes websites digitally inclusive by allowing visitors to customise your content so that they can consume it in ways that work best for them. By clicking ‘Accessibility Tools’ in the top right corner, users can change font style and size, page layout and colour, have pages read aloud and translated, change cursor size, and find definitions of complex terms.
