Legal Support and Advice for Special Education Needs

We understand that every parent, guardian or carer wants the best for their children. This is particularly the case when that child has Special Educational Needs.

As carers, parents or guardians, you can use important legal rights to obtain the right educational provision for your child, if they have SEN or you believe they may have. Our team are here to help you navigate the law to achieve the best outcome for your child or young person.

Education, Health and Care Plan’s (EHCP)

Children and young people up to the age of 25 years old may be eligible for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). An EHCP is a legal document that sets out what special educational needs the child or young person has, what support is needed to meet these needs and what setting (or type of setting) they are to attend for education. Importantly, an EHCP is legally enforceable to ensure the person is provided with the educational support set out within the EHCP funded by the Local Authority.
